In our sessions, we'll first take the time to understand your story. We'll work together to better understand how you view your life experiences and any unfinished business that may be keeping you from breathing deeply and freely. Understanding how your emotions and thoughts work together or against each other is key. Greater insight and understanding can equal greater meaning and peace. When you discover how to flow with yourself and your environment, you can be more open to excitement and vitality in living.

My main approaches in psychotherapy are both Gestalt therapy and Brainspotting. With both of these, I help you bring your stories, and your intuition, to the forefront of your experience. I work from a place of compassion and honesty. Whether you have a specific issue you are looking to heal from, or you wish to delve deeply into long-term therapy, it is my goal to support you towards who you want to see yourself become.

Technology that is Secure and Private
Technology-wise, I use Zoom Meetings for my online video therapy sessions. I choose not to use regular Skype because through it, I can't protect your privacy. Zoom Meetings is designed to protect your privacy and anonymity. The program is very easy to install and can be used through your web browser. Please ensure that you're in a space where you can have the privacy to speak freely and that is quiet, so we can both focus on your needs for the duration of the time.
Online video therapy can be used on its own or in conjunction with your visits in person to my counselling office in either Kitchener or Toronto. Say you've been seeing me for some time and are then about to travel. Switching to online video therapy while you travel is easy, and keeps the continuity of our work going. This way, you can be sure that your needs are met wherever you are.
